German Beach Tour Munich 2026

The German Beach Tour (GBT) has been the top-tier national beach volleyball series of the German Volleyball Federation since 2006 and Europe's largest national beach tour. The 2026 edition spans eight tournament weekends with four event days each, capped off by the German Beach Championships.

Munich is one of the fixed anchors in the calendar alongside Düsseldorf, Berlin and Dortmund. For 2026 the tour returns with two back-to-back tournaments in Munich, and stadium capacity is being expanded by roughly 450 seats at all four venues.

Ticket sales for both Munich stops open on 6 February 2026 at tickets.germanbeachtour.de. Single-day, weekend, VIP, family and group packages are available.

A ticket secures a reserved seat in the GBT Arena for the entire match day. Access to the rest of the site, including the sponsor village and food stalls, is free. Thursday (qualification) has no reserved seating, the weekend ticket covers entry.

The ZHS Beach and Tennis facility sits on the northern edge of Olympiapark at Kolehmainenweg 7, 80809 Munich. Take subway line U3 to Olympiazentrum and walk roughly 10 minutes.

By car, use the parking lots at Olympiacampus 11 and walk about 250 metres towards the Olympic Stadium. Bike racks are available directly at the entrance.

GBT Munich II 2025 was won by Henning/Wüst on the men's side ahead of Sagstetter/Sagstetter. In the women's draw Kunst/Paul took the title, with home team Grüne/Ittlinger finishing a strong second.

The previous year already delivered a headline: Norwegian wildcard team Berntsen/Mol won the Munich stop, breaking a long streak of German champions.

Beyond the matches a full festival ground awaits: sponsor village, DJ stage, food trucks with bowls, pizza and craft beer, a Kids Zone and open courts where amateur players can join in.
