SV Blau-Weiß Aasee was founded in 1972 and is a versatile sports club based in the Aaseestadt district of Münster. Beyond volleyball, the club operates football, badminton, table tennis, swimming, and sports programs for people with disabilities. The club received the Sepp-Herberger Award in 2018 for its commitment to disability sports.
Offering
Indoor Volleyball: The women's first team competes in the Third League West. The club offers teams across all age groups (U13, U16, U18) as well as recreational and leisure groups
Beach Volleyball: Training courses and tournaments during the season (spring/summer); training groups with up to 8 participants
Youth Development: Collaboration with the Münster Volleyball Circle and Wilhelm-Hittorf-Gymnasium for talented young players
The name "Blau-Weiß" (Blue-White) was allegedly chosen out of affinity for FC Schalke 04. The floodlit beach volleyball facility is a distinctive feature of the venue. Note: The beach courts are undergoing renovation until mid-2026.
