TSV Hessen 1848 Frankenberg has been designated a performance center for beach volleyball by the Hessian Volleyball Association (HVV) since 2003 — the only one in Hesse. As "Beach support point Hesse North," the club serves as the region's training and competition hub. The volleyball department was founded in 1967 and now has 146 members: 43 active adults and 61 active youth competing across eleven teams.
Facilities are located at Sparkassen Beach Arena (Ederstadion Frankenberg) and Ederberglandbad.
The club has produced athletes with international achievements: Sarah Schneider won silver at the U-19 World Championship and bronze at the Olympic Youth Games. Paul Becker is known for exceptional beach volleyball performance.
