About the club

TuS Kriftel, founded in 1884, is the largest sports association in Kriftel (Main-Taunus-Kreis district) with approximately 2,200 members. The volleyball department was established in 1968 and now comprises over 400 members with five men's, four women's, and several youth teams. The men's team competed in the 1st Bundesliga for three seasons (1990–1994) and achieved runner-up status in the 2nd Bundesliga South in 2024/25. The youth program has produced numerous national and international players, including a German U16 men's championship in 2013.

Worth knowing

The Tropica Beach Cup is an established tournament series with over 25 years of history, held annually at Parkbad. The event regularly attracts over 20 mixed teams and is known for its beach atmosphere, palm trees, and Caribbean music. The club has produced several professional volleyball players and national team members, including Hauke Braack (Volleyballer of the Year 1988) and Igor Runow (European Champion 1987/1991).
